Two Injured in Collision: On Sunday night, a serious crash occurred on Route 3 in Plymouth, leaving two people injured, including one man who was flown to a Rhode Island hospital with severe injuries. According to Plymouth’s fire department, the crash happened around 8:11 p.m. when a vehicle veered off the southbound lanes and crashed into the woods. The driver, a man, was trapped inside the vehicle and required immediate rescue efforts.

Fire Chief Neil Foley explained that firefighters arrived at the scene and worked tirelessly for approximately 20 minutes to free the driver. Hydraulic extrication tools were needed to carefully remove him from the wreckage. The extent of the man’s injuries was serious enough that he had to be airlifted to a Rhode Island hospital for urgent medical care. The second individual involved in the crash sustained injuries as well but did not require air transport.

Potential Compensation at Stake for the Victims

In accidents like these, the victims may be entitled to various types of compensation, depending on the circumstances of the crash. Compensation for car accident victims can typically include medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and property damage. If the injuries are severe and result in long-term disabilities, compensation may also cover future medical care, rehabilitation costs, and loss of earning capacity. Emotional distress and mental trauma are also considered in many cases, as such accidents can have long-lasting psychological effects.

Additionally, if the accident was caused by another driver’s negligence, the injured parties may be able to pursue claims for both economic and non-economic damages. It’s essential that the victims document their medical treatments and other accident-related expenses as these will be critical when calculating the appropriate amount of compensation.
