News: Left-turn crash in Marshfield claims woman’s life
MARSHFIELD, MA – A driver of a red Subaru Forester succumbed to fatal injuries after she made a left turn and collided with a tan-colored vehicle Monday.
This collision was reported around 10:30 a.m. at the Plain Street and Lady Slipper Lane junction, east of Furnace Brook Watershed. WHDH said the red Subaru driver turned in front of the other car when she collided with it. As a result, her vehicle sustained some front-end damage. Although the tan vehicle itself appeared to have not undergone any harm, and its motorist was also uninjured.
The Subaru driver, later identified as Michelle Freestone, a Marshfield resident, was rushed to South Shore Hospital. There, Freestone was later declared dead.
Officials had shut down Plain Street, which later reopened by 2 p.m.
An investigation has been launched; no other details are available at this time.
