Bicyclists injured in Massachusetts car accident

Many colleges in the United States have expansive campuses that can be difficult to travel across on foot in a timely manner. However, a bicycle can be an ideal way for students to get from class to class, and a college campus is usually a safe place for bicyclists. However, the few roads that are traveled by drivers of motor vehicles can pose a threat to the less defended individuals. Unfortunately, a car accident in Massachusetts recently injured a bicyclist.

The accident took place during the evening of Feb. 9 at around 7:30 p.m. and involved a pickup truck and a bicycle. The accident occurred after the bicyclist attempted to cross the street and was struck by the driver of the pickup truck. The driver stayed at the scene of the accident and fully cooperated with the police.

The victim of the accident was taken to the hospital by ambulance for what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The current condition of the victim is unknown at this time. The accident is still under investigation by Massachusetts police.

Once investigations have been completed by the police, the victim of the car accident may have the right to seek monetary compensation for her injuries. Any compensation ultimately awarded could be used to pay for any of the victim’s hospital bills as well as other financial damages recognized by our personal injury laws. This would mean that the victim could recuperate in a stress free environment and hopefully return to her normal routine at her own pace.
