Massachusetts fatal car accident kills mother and daughter

Police officers can sometimes forget that they must obey the laws they enforce on a daily basis. When this occurs, it can produce very dangerous situations that can lead to injury or even death for the officer or someone else. Unfortunately, a Massachusetts State Trooper was charged after he was involved in a fatal car accident.

The state trooper was involved in the accident, occurring on Sept. 27, which resulted in the deaths of a mother and daughter. The mother was 64 years old and her daughter was 23 years old. The mother was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the young woman was taken to a hospital where she passed away.

It was alleged that the trooper was intoxicated at the time of the accident. He was off duty when the collision occurred. He was charged for driving under the influence, and will also be charged with unlawfully carrying a firearm while under the influence of alcohol. The accident is still under investigation, but more charges could be filed against the trooper once all the evidence is analyzed.

If the family of the two Massachusetts individuals that were lost in the fatal car accident deem fit, they may decide to seek compensation for the loss of their loved ones. This action could be taken even if the trooper is not convicted of any of the criminal charges as long as sufficient evidence exists.
